The information society: education and new literacy for equal opportunities

Abstract
This article presents reflections that allow us to identify a clarifying discourse on the role of information and communication technologies (ICT) in compulsory education, and its implications for equal opportunities in access to education. But in any case, it requires us to stop, as an indispensable condition, to reflect and build a broader framework of analysis in which to clarify how information and communication technologies affect education as a project based on equity and social justice.
