The Revista de Ciencias de la Comunicación e Información, founded in 1996, was a novelty in the panorama of Spanish university communication journals. The Revista de Ciencias de la Comunicación e Información is a non-commercial scientific journal, edited by HISIN -Historia de los Sistemas Informativos-, with uninterrupted edition since its foundation. The process of evolution of knowledge has generated that, to the thematic axes originally proposed, others were added to respond to the new spaces of knowledge generated in the XXI century.

The official language of the journal is Spanish, although contributions are accepted in English, French, Italian and Portuguese. As of the year 2021 it adopted the continuous publication system, uploading articles individually as the editorial process is completed in open access electronic format.

It is a refereed journal, which uses the double-blind peer review, according to the publication standards of the American Psychological Association (APA 7th). This review method guarantees an impartial, objective and transparent arbitration, which facilitates the article's inclusion in databases, repositories and international reference indexing.

Revista de Ciencias de la Comunicación e Información is a scientific journal that focuses on peer-reviewed articles and reviews on communication, education and social networks. We prioritize original and interdisciplinary works that provide innovative perspectives and rigorously use the corresponding methodology. Our goal is to promote the exchange of knowledge, foster the development of these thematic areas and encourage collaboration among researchers in this area of knowledge.
